Well …After 9 months in South Africa it’s difficult to explain my feelings. I already could say that the time spent there went so fast…which means no time to think of something else!

All started the 8th of September 2014 and all finished the 16th of May 2015. It seems to be an eternity but actually it isn’t. Always moving and doing something it was just impossible to get bored…Although I had some incidents which some of them were opportunities to be called “clumsy” by my teacher Meagan, it’s necessary to admit how these months in Cape Town were fabulous mainly when I remember every single moment spent…10K runs and races with Tanya, restaurants with friends, beautiful landscapes, volunteering…The list is obviously too long but I also can remember experiencing Christmas and New Year in summer!

I wouldn’t forget to mention the great chance which has been my volunteering in game reserves in the KwaZulu-Natal for a month! A completely change of lifestyle and scenery were waiting for me…Who could boast of sleeping with a nice green snake in their bedroom?

Interested in animals and nature it was fantastic to help people working for nature conservation trying to save endangered species such as black rhinos, wild dogs, cheetahs…And unfortunately too much more species in my view.

While doing this travel and living in Cape Town I learnt and discovered a wide range of different cultures, way of life and people in particular when I chose to be a volunteer to look after children from the township in Bo-Kaap. When I saw them I also saw that money is not the most important thing to be happy. Being witness of what’s going on and being able to attend the reality existing overseas is more than enriching…It’s like inevitable!

Taking off from Paris few months ago I absolutely didn’t know what to expect and every day finally goes from surprise to surprise that I don’t regret! Thus today I would say thank you to everyone who took part to this incredible adventure and particularly Tanya who has led us as a great team!
