Friends, wine, paradise,… what else ? By Tom

Tired of the city? I`ve been to a wonderful place where you should go. It`s called Ceres. Ceres is a well-known area tucked in a valley surrounded by the Boland Mountains. It`s famous for fruit juices and for the great camping places in the mountain. Some farms which produce fruit and vegetables lie on the mountainous plateau of the Ceres district.

We thought about going camping there, but it was easier to spend all-day in this amazing place. So we rented a car with some friends (for a reasonable price) and went there. The only access is via Theronsberg Pass, along the Hex River Mountains. The scenery changed at each head movement, I never stopped being amazed!

After 2 hours, we finally arrived at our destination. It`s unbelievable all this beauty, it must be seen! We enjoyed a picnic with some wine near to the river and afterwards chilled under the sun. Some of us decided to swim; the others chatted on the rock. Everyone found their happiness in this place in the middle of nowhere. Personally, I appreciated this moment where I could think about nothing, just listen the silence and enjoy the landscape. All of this with people that I love.
