Constantia Wine Tour by David

It was Saturday morning and my friends and I decided to go on a wine tour. First we took the tourist bus from Long Street. It was the blue route. It was very interesting because it explained the history of Cape Town. The journey until the wine tour was 1 hour. The first stop was in Constantia Valley. Constantia is known as the Beverly Hills of Cape town with its sprawling mansions and lush vineyards. The tour of Groot Constantia Valley starts every hour. We arrived at 2.40pm and I had lunch after the tour. Our tour consisted of visiting the wine cellar while a speciality person explained the process of making wine to us. First she explained white wine and then red wine. The red wine’s process is more elaborate than white wine and its fermentation is more durable.

When the tour finished, we tasted 5 kinds of wine, two white and three red wines. Then we could eat in their restaurant. The food was really good and the wine too. The bus to go back a Cape Town was full of drunk people, so you can imagine there was a lot of laughter and screams.

In my opinion the tour is good (not more) but if you go with your friends you can have an amazing day.
